CT-Driven Virtual Simulation

Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute has a CT (computed tomography) scanner dedicated to simulating patients in treatment positions. These simulations are used to test various treatment fields and devices used to immobilize the patient during therapy. CT simulation begins with the patient treatment position, immobilized by various devices. These devices maintain the patient in a relatively fixed position during CT Scans and treatment.

This stimulation involves

  • Bone site
  • Board
  • Laser points (fiducial marker)
