We strive for providing state-of-the-art, innovative, high-quality radiation treatment to patients in the safest manner.
Our Radiation Oncology program is recognized as one of the most comprehensive facilities in India. Our team comprises five radiation oncologists each one with a decade of experience and additional medical physicists, radiation therapists, nurses, speech & swallowing therapists, nutritionists, and supportive staff, all with a goal to provide excellent care to the patients.
The exceptional Radiation Oncology team has treated over 30,000+ patients of External bean Radiotherapy (EBRT), 20,000+ patients of Brachytherapy, and 200+ Stereotactic Treatment (SRS/SRT/SBRT) cases, making a remarkable impact in the lives of patients.
Our Department is equipped with
- CT Simulator
- Advanced 2 Linear Accelerators
- 1 Flexitron 40-Channel Brachytherapy Unit
These help in providing a wide range of treatment options for cancer care. These treatments encompass
- 3-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT )
- Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
- 1 Flexitron 40-Channel Brachytherapy Unit
- Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- High-Dose-Rate Brachytherapy (HDR)
- PET Based Radiation Therapy
We have exclusive state-of-the-art treatments like
- Adaptive Radiotherapy – helps to precisely treat the tumors by modifying the treatment plans with changes in the tumor and body during the course of radiation.
- Deep inspiratory breath-hold technique – for left-sided breast cancer patients to reduce heart doses which helps to decrease cardiac toxicity.
We treat patients with Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) with the help of
- Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID)
- Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
- Symmetry (4DCBCT) which helps to ensure proper patient position before delivering the treatment. 4DCBCT is especially useful for lung cancer patients to track the tumor position during the course of radiation therapy.
The department is equipped with the world’s best radiotherapy planning systems like MONACO (Electrons) and RayStation (RaySearch Laboratories). We are proud to launch India’s first Adaptive Radiotherapy using Photons with RaySearch Planning System.
Furthermore, our department has undergone a thorough review and certification process by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre. We have been evaluated and certified in areas such as Radiation Safety, Quality Assurance, and the 3D-CRT benchmark. This certification attests to our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in delivering safe and effective radiation therapy to our patients.
